Race for Education

Well we go on vacation tomorrow, actually we are leaving for the airport in 5 hours and of course, I cannot sleep so I will post a quick update about Rowan.  The school ran a fundraiser this year called "Race for Education".  The students sent out letters to friends and family members asking for donations to help the home and school association.   The students in turn walked or ran for an hour.  The race was supposed to be held on 11/5 but it rained so it got moved to yesterday.  I snuck out of work for a half hour so I could go cheer Rowan and her class on and take a couple of pictures.

Thank you everyone for donating!  This was apparently a very successful fundraiser but I have missed how much was raised - it was in excess of $5,000.00 though so thank you!
