Halloween approaches but as of yet no costume decisions have been made - just the trying on of things in stores for the heck of it
On October 4, Joann's daughter Nikki got married. Married!! I am officially old when my friends are no longer getting married but their children are. Sighs. It was a beautiful wedding at Fonthill Castle in Doylestown. The backdrop was spectacular, the weather was unseasonably warm and the people were all wonderfully personable. I wish Nikki and DJ much happiness!
The next day as I prayed for forgiveness from the drinking gods and Parker forced me to start moving (the best thing he could have done as I recovered quicker than expected) we went to Rowan's soccer game in the morning and then came home and decorated the outside of the house for Halloween. Lily took part by drawing the face on one of this years ghosts and gave her eyelashes. Haha. For whatever reason I failed to take a picture of the house when it was done and still have not done it so I will try to get that up soon.
That night we went to our first Philadelphia Union professional soccer game. What a fantastic time that was, seriously! We debated on the way home as to which was the hardest sport to score in and decided soccer had to be up there. The Union scored the one goal of the game in the 91st minute and the place just erupted - erupted - it was madness excitement that spread throughout the stadium and the game ended with the Union win after 96 minutes. Too bad they only have one home game left this season. We are definitely going to be checking them out in the 2014 season.
