Mom and Erika pay a visit

Camp ended on August 17 for Rowan and school does not start until Sept 4 so that left us two weeks with nowhere to put her.  Enter Mom and Erika.  They came down on the 18th to visit for a couple of weeks and their time here has almost come to an end already!  Working while they were here cut down on activities but we tried to get as much out of our time as possible.

The day before they arrived I spoke with mom on the phone and found out there was a crab request for the night they arrived.  No problem!  Crab all around.  Erika had never had it before and seemed to like it but not the work involved in getting the crab out of the shells!

                                      

Sunday we took a day trip to the Adventure Aquarium.  Having a family pass pays off!  The kids had a blast, we saw parts of the Aquarium we had missed in the past, and they were running a Megaladon exhibit so that was neat to see.

  I had to work all week after that but we went bowling with our kids bowl free passes on Tuesday night.  Mom claimed to not know how to play but beat all of us in the second game!

Friday I took the day off and we went to the beach!  After a major fail by the GPS we found our way to Island Beach State Park and set up camp for about 4 hours on the beach.  The waves were crazy big verging on scary dangerous so we stayed close the the shoreline which was not very big since the waves were crashing so close to shore but the weather was great and Erika got to put her feet in the ocean!

 Today we are heading outlet shopping in Limerick, look out!  Tomorrow we take in an afternoon Phillies game and Friday promises to be sunny and 90 degrees so we are heading to the pool for the day!  What better place to be??  I offered to go to the beach again but was turned down!
