First a picture of my couch potatoes who were thrilled when the Olympics ended so they could go back to watching America's Funniest Home Videos.
Okay - now people updates:
Parker - the poor guy, he is sick again, for someone who used to never get sick this winter has kicked his ass. He is currently rocking an ear infection, an eye infection and a virus/cold that he was given antibiotics for. Fun.
Kat - currently okay however back is slightly sore but I am trying to ignore that. I am in desperate need to lose weight, even a start of 5 pounds would get me going but ugh...time and energy are fleeting.
The two of us are going to New York City next weekend with friends. A little childfree getaway for 2 1/2 days that I think we are both very much looking forward to. We are going to see two shows, Rock of Ages and Avenue Q while we are there so that should be fun.
Rowan - still loving Karate - I wish the discipline part of it was working a bit better on her but I am willing to give it some more time. She is testing us alot lately with her attitude and behaviour. She gets into occasional trouble at daycare which does not bode well for kindergarten but we are working with her and trying to make her understand things. Some times I think we forget she is only 4, 4 1/2 as it were, I think having another child makes you think your first one is older than they are sometimes.
Lily - well our little angel baby has turned into a screaming toddler. Now I understand in our house between Rowan and me it is hard to get a word in edgewise sometimes however Lily then just screams with a shrill to it to get heard. Can be pretty annoying frankly. However she remains as loving as ever - she really gives the greatest hugs. She is talking more and learning more words so communicating is all new to her. Her favourite words at the moment are "milk", "mine", "nose" and "Ro Ro". It's amazing how Rowan called herself Ro Ro and Lily calls her that too.
And now an animal upate:
Zoey - my poor fur baby. She will be 11 in early May and her age is catching up with her. So is her weight however. She has been having alot of trouble moving lately so I took her to the vet last night. Turns our she has gained 10 lbs in less than a year (thank you Lily and the throwing of food) putting her at 90 lbs now! The added weight, her age and what looks/seems like the onset of arthritis are crippling her up. So she is now on a diet - no more snacks - a little walk every day and taking aspirin like pain medication and glucosamine (sp?) for her joints.
So there you have it - life in the Hall household - we are in great shape aren't we?
