The girls were at Joe and Diane's all last week for Easter break. They came home on Thursday night and we went to Menchie's with Rowan's Brownie Troop for a frozen yogurt party to celebrate the cookie sales this year.
Friday the 4 of us and Megan went to see The Croods. It was a cute movie and the kids seemed to enjoy it. They also enjoyed posing with the cut outs in the theater after the movie.
Friday night as a treat for getting the girls back we took them to The Melting Pot fondue restaurant. They had never been before and they really liked it - it was fun to watch them experience something totally new like this and revel in it.
Saturday morning we had swimming lessons for the girls. Rowan is learning to dive and Lily swam without a bubble! Progress! Afterwards the day was so wonderful we headed up to Tyler State Park for a hike. 2 and a half hours later we headed back home. It was great. Signs of spring were everywhere in the park and we were not the only ones with the idea as it was pretty busy there but everyone was in a good mood and enjoying the weather.
When we came home we had to get busy dyeing eggs so the Easter Bunny would stop at our house!
Sunday morning the girls woke up to find the Easter Bunny had visited during the night. Some baskets were waiting for them and some eggs were hidden to be found. I could be wrong but I am pretty sure they ate all the candy in those eggs that day! Thankfully there were not too many eggs. Joe and Diane came for dinner because our normal plans of going to Sharon's were cancelled this year because of commitments that Sharon could not change. No matter, our dinner was good and the company was better.
Last but not least when all had calmed down Lily decided Jazz wasn't girly enough and blessed her with her very own pair of pearls. Haha.
Monday only I was off with the girls so we got some chores done and went for another hour walk. Monday night after Parker got home we settled back into our regular routine. Here it is Wednesday again and it feels like those days off were a dream from many moons ago already.
