Remember the previous post about my non waterproof camera I lost in the lazy river at Calypso waterpark? Problem solved! And it works pretty good - will do the trick at Disney to say the least which is all I can ask for.
First test - the Kembles backyard pool.
Second test the Hatboro Pool.
Looks like we have a winner!

Yard Sale!
Had a neighbourhood yard sale on Saturday the 23rd. It was great fun - we got rid of some kids clothes and toys and DVDs we no longer wanted so it worked out well. I think I spent all our profits on buying the neighbours stuff but whatever...
Rowan, McKenzie, Johnny and occassionally Lily set up their lemonade stand and Murphi and Ashley set up their homemade bracelets stand. They all did a great job. The lemonade stand netted each kid about $8.00!! Not bad for 0.25/cup of lemonade and 0.50/bag of cookies.

Angela's Baby Boy
Remember that baby shower Rowan and I went to a couple of months ago for Angela? Her baby boy made his appearance on Tuesday July 5, 2011. His name is Kaleb Michael Ordonez and he was 6lbs5oz and cute as a button.
Here is Angela the day before she had her scheduled c-section - how great does she look?? Totally unfair....you should see her now, you would never even know she had a baby.
Kaleb the day he was born because of course I went running to the hospital as soon as I got off work that day to see her and him.
This past weekend I took Rowan, Lily and McKenzie to visit Angela and Enaiya and so the girls could meet baby Kaleb - 18 days old already, how quickly they grow!

Ottawa in two days
Hours in the car: 14 3/4
Gas: $210.00
Tolls: $24.60
One ruined camera at the waterpark: $120.00
Time spent with family: Priceless
Did you see the pigs flying in the sky last week? I did - Angie and Nik finally made it to Ottawa ;) Of course they make it long after I left Canada but was I going to let them get away with that? Hell no - left here on Friday afternoon and left Ottawa again on Monday but packed a whole lot of visiting in that short time and it was totally worth the drive!!
Got to Ottawa around 815 on Friday night - hung out catching up for almost 4 hours! Saturday we left the girls with my mom and Parker, Nik, Angie, Dad and I did the touristy thing in Ottawa for Nik and Angie.
It was a gorgeous and warm day so I did what anyone would do - found a sprinkler and ran through it :) Got a nice round of applause from people lounging in the park - it felt great!
Got home and Lisa and the family came over for a big group BBQ.
Just before bed Angie and Nik gave Rowan and Lily presents to remind them of Canada and of Angnd Nik. We tried to convince the girls to call the moose Angie and Nik but Rowan insisted hers was named Wally. ???
Sunday morning Nik and Angie left even with all our requests for them to stay . Booooo. I hope we see each other sooner rather than later next time - our doors are always open to them when they want to check out Philly or maybe we meet in NYC or even Disney like we discussed :)
So with our last day and another sunny and hot one we went to Calypso Water Park - a total blast! It was a great place - Russ' work was having a company picnic there which was cool cause then we were all there again for the day. My camera took a drink in the lazy river and was ruined but I was able to save the memory card thankfully! After 7 hours at the park it was time to take our sore and sunned bodies back home.
Back home to the USA on Monday morning and we got home around 515pm. Not too bad at all. A short, fast and cram packed weekend but totally worth it!

July 4th-extra long weekend-2011
4 days off this year - 4 days!!! Back at work today it feels like I had none. How does that happen?? At the time though they were the best 4 days ever.
Friday I took all day off and decided to take the girls to the pool for the day. Rowan was all for it - Lily wanted to go to school. Can you believe it? We thought she would change her mind all the way up until she waved goodbye to Rowan and I as we dropped her off at school. Shrugs. What are we supposed to do with that? We ran some errands and went to the pool for the day.
Friday night McKenzie slept over because we got up early on Saturday and headed to New Gretna to visit Auntie JoAnn and Uncle Paul for the day at their campsite. We did a little touring in Smithville.
Back home for some ice cream and we called it a night.
Monday we all slept in until after 8am!! Whoohoo! Once we finally got going the kids and Parker decided to wash the cars.
Then the girls and I headed for the pool again. It was sunny, it was warm and the water was perfect. After about 3 1/2 hours there I was thinking of calling Parker to come and get us and lo and behold guess who walked in? The girls were THRILLED to see him.
Home at 5pm to grill and have some fresh picked veggies from our garden - YUM!
We thought about heading out for some fireworks but decided it would just be too late for the girls so we did pop its and sparklers at home with the Gages and tried to get pictures of the fireworks the next street over was sending up in the skies.
All in all another great 4th of July weekend.

Then headed back to the campsite and to the pool for the rest of the afternoon to the delight of all three girls.
We came home after dinner at the campground and McKenzie spent the night again as all three girls fell asleep on the ride home - which we knew was going to happen.
Sunday McKenzie went home and did family stuff. That left us and the Gages next door. Sam and I went grocery shopping together then we all grilled and ate together and decided to head to Kids Castle to see some fireworks. A storm blew through while we were getting dinner together but it cleared up nicely after that - however, unbeknownst to us it caused them to cancel the fireworks we drove out to see. Bummer. So the kids played at the Castle for a bit and then we all decided to go play MiniGolf instead!
